My 100 Favorite Films of All Time (circa 1989)
December 17, 2011Back in 1989, not more than a couple of years into full-on cinephilia, I solidified my all-time Top 100 with the help of a bunch of old film magazines, a xerox machine, a glue-stick and a typewriter. I’m happy to say that the list holds up pretty well though obviously there’s a lot I’d change 22 years later. Click on any of the pages to enlarge.
“holds up pretty well” – I suppose it does for a 23 year old list. Barely 50 % would make it today. I suppose “The Graduate” looked OK then but who would stand by it now! AND “Diva” never then and not now. You owe it to yourself to do a 100 Best Films now (2012)
